I have 2 cars with the centerforce dual friction in them. A 71 440 +6 Cuda and a 528 CI Hemi in a 69 Super Bee. They have been in the cars for several years and have always gripped tight with no chattering. The overcenter spring will need to be removed and the pedal is lighter than the long style clutches. I am very happy and I do beat on the cars often, Have not had any experience with the zoom clutches in the last 30 years.

I had a Zoom many years ago in my Cuda. It lasted about 6000 miles, seemed to work well, but then one of the levers broke. I replaced it with a Centerforce Dual Friction, and that's the best clutch I've ever had.

Are the Dual Friction preferred over the StageII's.

Always have used a Borg and Beck style instead of a Chevy diaphram style...
I have to Rhino.. always Borg & Beck style Ram,Zoom,Hayes ect on all my Mopars for 30yrs, Last year, against my Old skool thoughts, I went with a Centerforce Dual friction, Took the spring out from under the dash (almost got killed)Street and track all summer 3,000 to 4,000 RPM launches and no problems and being a bit older its nice my leg still feels fine after a day in the staging lanes

I've not used a zoom, but they appear to be a cheap stock replacement. the CF DF is a nice performance clutch that I am using right now, and I like it.
