I am looking at getting a 300...V6 or Hemi.....anyone on here have any issues with them...I drive 98 miles round trip everyday for work, so to me, the V6 would be better, but deep down I really want the Hemi.....other than the motor and some bells and whistles.....what is the major difference? does the Hemi really get good MPH when it shuts down the 4cyls? please advise....
Thanks all!!!

I get between 22 to 26 MPG on the highway depending on conditions.
I can get a best of 30 MPG when driving on secondary highways at 80 KM/H.
Like any V8 car,it is a gas hog in city driving conditions and the MDS rarely cuts in.
The MDS does save fuel on the highway when you keep the speed to the posted limit.
All 8 light up when passing trucks or when driving at 120 KM/H-up.
My observation is when the revs are over 2000 RPM,she drinks the fuel.
I love my car and it is great for long drives and had no major mechanical problems with it since I bought it.
Typical wear items (tie rods, link kits, tires) is all I had to replace.
It has been a very reliable car.You wont be dissapointed.
It will cost you at the pump despite good MPG.
The Hemi requires 89 octane which is more expensive than the regular gas.
The 3.5L can run on regular fuel and still get very good mileage.

I have an 06 Magnum R/T, Hemi, All Wheel drive . . . not much difference between the V6 and the Hemi, for mileage on the highway, from what I have seen and read on the LX Forums. Yes, in town the hemi is thirstier, but again, it is sooooo nice when you go to pass someone, you are MOVING !!! . . . my own choice, the Hemi with MDS, and I think after 2008, the 5.7 also had Variable Valve Timing, to help bump up both HP & Torque . . . reliable.

Yes, usual wear items, tie rod ends, lower control arm bushings, brakes, etc . . . depends on who and how they drove the car I guess. I have 85k miles on my Magnum, brakes still more than 50% left, tie rods ok, lower control arm bushings still good . . .

I would go for the hemi myself . . .

Happy hunting . . .

Cheers

Mark
