The plus usually has stops for the shifter gate. That and the internals are usually better. The pistol grip I have for my car came from a 71 GTX.I just used the handle and installed it on my 65s original plus shifter.Rocky

I have them both blown apart on the work bench right now and they both look really similar except for the shifter handle mounting assembly. I haven't taken that apart yet because I wanted to make sure I could put it back together. Are the internals of that what make it different? Stiffer spring, etc? Still wondering...

The bayonet box I had was lighter than my 65 Plus box. That and it had no stops.I just opened the holes a bit so I could bolt it to the 65 box.The 65 Box shifted better than the later one also.Rocky
