Hi Guys,
My Friend is going to have the 8 point roll bar in his 73 Charger converted to a 12 point cage. The company that he is buying the kit from doesn't have the interior dimensions for the 73 but they do have it for the 71-72. Does anybody know if they are the same? Any help would be much appreciated !

Seeing as how the doors will bolt on from one to another I would imagine that the interior dimensions should be the same.

I am only guessing though.

Isn't it about time he joined the forum though?

Either way tell him I said

Is that the guy that has the shop in Alliance? If so, I know a guy thats in the suffield/randolph area (close by) that could bend him up a custom fit cage. Top notch work.

PM if interested in contact info

Good Luck

Bill,
We were thinking they would be the same but He'd really like to be sure before ordering.
I've been telling him to register on this site for a couple years now, but he's a really busy guy , so I don't know if he ever did. I will tell him you said
BlackCar , He's from Richmond(near Steubenville).I will pass that info along to him .Thanks!

If it would help maybe we can get him My # and he can call me and we can compare measurement points between his car and mine.

If he has the car at home that is.

Might be a little tough though as I don;t have the factory dash or interior and as I recall his does.

Can't get to the 72 right now or I could measure that one for him.

Either way, what ever I can do to help.

I cant tell you if the dimensions are the same or not. I can tell you even if they are different they are still going to be very close.

I thought the replacement front floor plans are sold as 71-72, the replacement rear floor plans are sold as 71-73 and the trunk pans are sold as 71-73.

You notice you dont see 74 listed? I dont really know why. If memory serves me right Im thinking the 74 small block cars were different but who knows anymore.

Regardless if there is a difference in size its going to be so minor that who ever is building your cage can make up any differences.
