I have a 73 E Body with front and rear sway bar. Both are stock with the rear being frame mounted. I need to replace the bushings for the bars. I think the fronts are readily available but have not seen, or overlooked, finding bushing for the rear (they have the factory U shaped clamp that mounts to the frame rails). Any suggestions on where to find the correct bushings for these bars? Thanks in advance.
Ron

Check out Firm Feel - they offer the factory style rear bar and would sell the bushings. Their bar may or may not be the same diameter as factory but either way they will likley be able to supply the bushings.

On an E-body, the rear sway bar straps(that hold the bushings) are welded to the mounting brackets. The bushings were not servisable. No one makes stock E-body rear swaybar bushings.

You can find the correct diameter poly bushings and cut them down to fit. They won't look stock though.

I just bought some used origonal bushings that are in good shape to replace my worn out origonals. I'm planning on priming the retaining straps with a weld through primer, installing the bushings, then weld the straps back onto the brackets.

I picked up front bushings from PST for this 71 B Body. The straps are not available as far as I know. I blasted them and painted.

Thanks for the feedback. I suspected as much. I like the way the bar bolts on because it will not pull through mount holes like others I have seen have the possibility of doing. I will likely have to do something similar to what you are doing to install your original bushings.

on my 71 when i sent my rear bar out for chroming, i had cut the strap off the mount and welded studs on it and installed 2 new straps and bushings from another model with nuts...not factory, but back then in the 80's, no one cared....where did my numbers matching block go back then?
