My 440 with M1 and Dominator gets about 4 to 5 mpg.I have 12.5 pistons and .588 cam with 4 speed.Probally wouldnt get much better with a smaller carb.Been running it on the street for 4 years.Rocky

it depends on what gears you are running and how you have the car set up. go fast = bad mpg. also they make dominator with progressive linkage, or at least they used to, so at part throttle you only run on the front 2 barrels. my buddy had a 528 road runner with progressive linkage 1100 cfm dominator and a keisler 5 speed with 3.55 gears that got 16 mpg on the freeway.
perception is 90% of reality

Power valve in the primary is the key. My 1050 doesn't use any more fuel driving aroung than the 950 it replaced. Lots of issues with the Dominator on the street before I installed the power valve.
