Is the chassis a 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton or one ton? does it have a maximum combine GVWR trailer towing weight shown in the owners manaul? If it has a maximum combine GVWR towing weight make sure, just in case of a accident, that your not exceeding it What are the state laws on towing that trailer in your state It pays to know

If you are going to tow a enclosed car trailer you need a correct receiver hitch and torsion bars (either 750 lb or 1000 lb bars). The sway bar is optional, kind of depends on the size of your truck. I pull with a Ford F350 4x4 long bed diesel and do not have a problem with sway.
Also be sure you have a electric brake controller mounted in the cab for the electric brakes on the trailer. 4 wheel electric brakes are much better than 2 wheel. Also if you can upgrade from 3500 lb axles to 5000 lb plus and 16" wheels you will be ahead of the game.

A walk through the pit area will show that very few, if any box trailers are pulled with a 1500.
\ Listen to what this man said.
I tried to pull this trailer with this 2500 truck and it was a scary ride for sure. I burnt 2 valves in the 360 motor on this trip. I replaced the motor when I got home and got a BB truck to pull with. 1500 is not even close enough to pull a 24' trailer safely. Cincinnati to Darlington SC and back and coming through the mountains was hell.

It is a 1/2 ton chassis. Thanks to all others who responded. Looks like it will work by adding a few things. The terrain we will be on is pretty much flat. Now I just have to find a good used trailer.
I pulled my 26' with my 1500 for a FEW years with no problems other than I would have liked more power... just have a good brake controller and keep your brakes adjusted on the trailer.... that was in Mich and Ohio... you will need the EQ hitch for sure plus make sure you balance your load in the trailer

I hauled this trailer for two seasons with this short bed Ram. It was ok when going to my local track that was mainly curvy back roads. On the interstate is where I didn't feel comfortable. I was puching the weights limits & risk factor. Sold it a little over a year ago & went back to my old open trailer & now looking at getting something nicer. I would not recomend a 24 footer with a 1500. I understand its hard for many of us to justify an single purpose expensive tow rig. This sport is expensive enough allready. However you want to be safe & legal out there.
