On the 1963's does the lower steering coupler kit used on the newer models apply to the early cars ? ( 1962 thru 1965's )

I already know the body itself is different in appearence and attaching method. but are the guts the same ? such as the shoes, seal and cover.

TIA

Hi Bill,

This very same question was addressed by one of our customers here just a couple of weeks ago. Our customer brought in his early A-body column and coupler, and we compared the components in the newer coupler rebuild kits with the parts from his old coupler. While not EXACTLY the same, all of the components from the new kit will fit and function properly in the old style coupler.

Rick
