MBigDaddyM OP member M Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 179 South of Seattle	Met a guy who says Chrysler built a 500 cubic inch industrial big block only for use in the heaviest of heavy duty applications. Anyone ever hear of this rare motor? -BD Will the last one leaving the US please turn out the lights.

The 413 was a great truck engine (for it's time and being a gasser) but they needed a bigger engine to compete. That only lasted a year or two and then everyone got smart and started going with diesels in those trucks. Sheldon

Dave Not as miserable as the diesel version of the 549. It was good at converting diesel fuel into noise tho . Never saw one in a Dodge or Fargo truck. Kevin
