The cage you hardly can tell is there. This will change a little once the door bars are installed. I wait til the last minute to do these as they are easy but get in the way while building.

Here is the dash bar. I notched the steering column mount. The bar is welded to the body on both ends and into the steering column mount. Try tearing this one out.

Here is the A-pilar/halo and main hoop. There is no way to ever change a headliner now. The tallest of drivers like me fit.

Here is my favorite view from the drivers seat. Full view through every window. No intrusions.

Here is the second stage of the project. Removed the factory spring hangers. Then made a front spring hanger assembly to weld into the frame. Here is a pic of the hanger with support plate bridging the frame rail.

Really struggled with what I wanted to do here. Could have simply cut out and replaced with tubing. But, said anybody can do that. The spare tire mount, the way it is made really puts some regity in the frame. So I lightened it. LOL

This is a store bought peice from AFCO. It replaced the swing style hanger. Main reason for using this was to raise the leaf up 2" to match the front.

Here is a pic of the Dana 60 housing. It will be filled with Strange 35 spline axles with 5/8 studs and a spool.
Yes, this is a set of Santhuff double adjustable shocks the owner stole. They are just hanging on some bolts right now awaiting the lower mounts being cut at a lazer shop. I plan to weld the mount to the caltrac lower spring plate. Then if for some reason we upgrade the suspension or want to build another car this is the last set of rear shocks he should ever need to buy. OVERKILL absolutely. But, isn't that what racing is all about.
