Here is a common lifter sold by PBM, made by Morel these are very good lifters for the money. Seems to be the same lifter offered by Lunati, Herbert and other company's etc. I took a bunch of measurements on these also and posted them several months back.
The wont clear the taller lifter boss's in the aftermarket block's however. I can get these for well under $300 a set, and they have been proven reliable.

Bob do you have a link to the thread with the measurements and can you get those in an offset?

I agree with the info posted by the other guys.
Mine have no oil holes.

Interesting. I run a stock block, so that isn't an issue. The axle dia, wheel dia, etc. would be good info that is not normally available in the catalog. And the pushrod seat height is important to see if a different set of pushrods ($$$) is needed.

Bob, are those lifter bars hitting the block? Solve the problem a bigger cam if they are.

The recent topic on roller lifters had me looking at the Comp Cams web site. Their old favorite BB Mopar roller lifter is 829-16. These have a solid lifter body (according to the picture), but the description says:
Quote:

EDM Oil Injection™ Technology guarantees that the bearing assembly receives constant, pressurized oil flow via precision hole aimed at the bearings

Comp 829 roller lifter web page

Is this a misprint?
Did they just put the same description (right or wrong) for all their roller lifters?
Have they added an oil hole to the side of the lifter?

I just got a response from Comp Cams:

Jim,

Yes sir that IS a misprint, the Chrysler roller lifters do NOT have the
EDM hole. With the lifter not having an oil band, there would be nowhere
to get the oil from. Sorry for the confusion. If you need anything else
please let us know. We are working on fixing a few small misprints in the
catalogue. There is A LOT of information to process lol.

Thanks,
Chris Ryan

They're hitting on the base circle. A larger Base circle usually means less lift since the lobe can only be as big as the bearing.

I would think they could put edm a small hole about mid point of the lifter about 2 thousands dia.its no big deal to do it there are 2 shops here by me that need the work.Come on comp step up to the plate I've seen people by them thinking they were getting this mod done, deseptive trade practice.

Yep
That cam already had a .450+ lobe. The block could have been clearance fairly easy, but at that point the short block and heads were mated/assembled.
I just ordered a set of the 829's and slapped it together.

I never mentioned them in this post and I have no idea.

If you are considering them, let us know too.

Noticed in the Competition Products catalog that in the listing for Comp Cam Endure X Roller Lifters that say now with EDM oiling, there is an asterisk beside the 829 and below the asterisk says 829-16 does not have EDM oil injection.
