Hey guys. I got a headunit from wal-mart and had my buddy that has be known to do car stereos wire it in. Well The car wont start now. Its a 78 New Yorker with a 440. It has spark,its getting gas it just wont fire. Any Ideas??? Thanks Alot

If you got spark and gas there is no reason for it not to run unless the plugs are gas fouled from being flooded. Your buddy didn't mess with anything under the hood did he?

It's getting spark in "crank". What Stump said, I'd check the plugs

It's got spark in crank position, but apparently not in the RUN position? Bad ballast resistor...

In the "start" position the ballast resistor is by-passed. So the resistor should not be the problem. Although if it has one of those dual resistors I'm not sure how those are wired. He says it's getting spark.
