Can some of you guys post of pics of your BB Fab Valve Covers with the stock A-Body Master Cylinder. I'm curious as to how much clearance I would have if I invested in some. Thanks!

I don't have any pictures, but if you are running a solid cam, I would suggest using an off-set mount on the master cylinder to make it a little easier to remove, & re-install them.

Where can you get the off set mounts from?

I actually mounted my master cylinder under the drivers seat because my drivers side Indy valve cover was a pain to remove. Required an aftermarket brake pedal, but checking the valve lash is a whole lot less trouble now.

By the way, we have 1972 Plymouth Duster. Just upgraded to EZ heads as well. Should be track ready in two weeks. Will have initial start up video as well. I've got my eye on those KMJ Performance Valve Covers( http://www.kmjent.com/cart/product.php?productid=526&cat=10&bestseller=Y ). Just hate that no one places the breathers up front on both sides but I like the longer bolts. I'm really worried about the breathers more than anything.

Mancini Racing has them.

Those KMJ covers are on ebay for $89 shipped.

As far as the master cylinder I used a 4 wheel disc brake unit from a '95 Mustang - 1 1/16" bore. It works out good for use with fenderwell headers as the lines go to the inside and keep them off the top of the headers. I mounted it on the top two holes, which helps with the valve cover clearance. I had to clearance the hole in the firewall just a tad and drill a new hole in the pedal for the pushrod (which also increased the leverage), but overall it works very well. I covered the open hole in the firewall with a piece of aluminum that I just carried upward and used as a heat shield.

Mancini has been selling offset MC adapters for a long time. Mopar Performance has offset mounts for the old cast iron master cylinders, Mancini also has them for the modern aluminum master cylinders.

Has anyone encountered interference between the fabricated valve cover and an MSD distributor on an RB? Mine clashed, and I had to bend the valve cover in slightly, probably 1/2 inch or so.

I grinded the valve cover on the side to clear the distributer

mine are indy valve covers

It was tight but no problem with a 1/4" drive ratchet and short extension. No leaks, I liked those covers alot.
My purple Dart looks just like ARI440's photo, very tight with the Indy valve covers.

sorry if these are not what you are looking for but i was running the fab valve covers also and it was a pain to tightin the rear valve cover bolts and that was with 906 heads. so when i went with my indy EZ headed 440 in my 73 dart i went with the mopar aluminum black valve covers. which i think are a lot easer to work with and take off the car etc. here is a pic of them.thanks Mopar65

I see alot of you guys are using all six bolt holes. We have always just used the center four and have not had any problems with leaks or proper sealing. We already have to to do enough just to get a socket on all the bolts. Chrysler's casting is not as exact as you would like it to be.

for me, the Indy covers are no problem to remove with a late model master cylinder in the stock location...it's getting that rear lower bolts out. since i remove the valve covers maybe a few times a year, i'll use a flexible nut driver (you know, the one with the spring shaft) to remove the troublesome ones. works very well

No problem with the valve cover/MC fitment. The heater blower motor is another subject.
