I've had one around 4 years, It does what I need it to do  batteries will last forever as long as you don't use the backlight

anything and the more passes in it the more accurate

Me too Mr.P I use the TAG and do the same thing.
Unfortunately I heard they are going out of business or not making the TAG anymore and not servicing them.

call me old fashion but I have a log book
I still write it down in a log book and use it as a
reference and back up but mainly use the TAG ....
much faster than looking for a similar run

There's a real nice trailer mounted unit thats very good...
costs a FEW bucks ... I cant remember the name of it
right now... I'll see if I can find it

Altronics sells an ET predictor that you can log the data from your Kestrel into...it's like $160...I've won alot of rounds when I do what it tells me...  I'm looking at this to use with my predictor...I'm not really a fan of the all in one handheld units. If not used properly IE: carried to the lanes in your hot sweaty hands down by the hot ashphalt and exhaust....they can give false readings IMHO. http://www.ambientweather.com/amws2080.html
