I am....the only issue was getting the pushrods in. Mine were from the first batch and supposedly the later ones need less clearancing than mine did. There were MANY trips on and off the block and a bunch of grinding until it went together. FYI mine is a roller cam combo. I used Hughes rockers and they have worked without incident.

What manifold are you using?
How much power is it making?
Thanks, Don

VICTOR Intake, 4150 Quick Fuel 1050 carb. It hasn't been on the dyno. 3260 lb. Duster 10.03 at 132.60 mph. Somewhere around 625-650 on Pump gas. As the username says, its a 451.

Yes there was some pushrod clearancing but nothing that major at all to strap them on a low deck. FYI the Edelbrock Victor 383 manifold almost matched the tunnel ram with a way nicer power curve and power peak. J.Rob

It's do-able on a flat tappet but a whole lot easier with offset roller lifters on the intakes and if you want to go the extra mile on a roller we offset the intake lifter bores to straighten it up even more. I'll even let you do the machine work

That was a good article. The $8000 budget number made me laugh though. Johnny must have decided that the real number would scare too many readers away.
