do you folks believe they are a must or preferance for 800hp type deal? thankyou in advance for the input.

If it gets a motor plate, its gets a mid plate at my shop.

I use them as a structural member to help eliminate
twisting in the chassis... mine doesnt have much distance
from the block/trans to the frame tubes... .090 steel

I've built them both ways.Never seen diff in one way or the other.On some cars it is damn near impossible to get a mid plate to fit.All my A-bodys never have mid plates.I would like to think I've made way more than 800hp LOL

i did it so i could remove either the trans or engine and they would be suported.

i knew that question would be asked. the motor has studs in it. so the jack was just temparary.

BigTime try that with the inner fenders in it,LOL
With TTIs you run out of room fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had TTI's, as for the inners car didn't come with them!

thanks boys,and also lookin at big and 8sec it makes me miss my 68 dart thing was a tank though weight wise!
