A while back, there were some posts about a couple websites to check a vin # on... I think (??) this goes back a couple years... I did a search for it on here but couldn't locate the thread(s). I was wondering if anyone here knew of those sites to look up older vehicles. At the time, I wrote those down for the heck of it and followed up on my Coronet and some others as well - all was good - i.e., not stolen or whatever. I'm looking into buying a car (of course!) and thought there were still some sites online to do that...

Any suggestions besides the obvious of going to the local DMV?

Thanks!
Dave

Right, I already know carfax doesn't work for the car I'm looking at - a 69 Dart. I remember someone posted a site that had a free look up to find out the history of a vehicle... and of course I can't find where I wrote it down.

Thanks for your reply,
Dave
