I have a 91 New Yorker and started having an electrical issue this morning. The seatbelt light flashes and the power locks keep locking. Wondered if anyone knew what some of the causes may be. I had an issue with the wipers turning on sporadically a couple years ago. Tried a new switch and problem went away for awhile. Ended up putting a switch in after fuse to control that issue. Not sure if these issues are related. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

This might sound really stupid. I know that going to a dealer is not something we would ever think of, but maybe this time? Most of us could ony guess on anything as "new" as 20 years old.

Anyway, good luck, maybe there is somebody on this site who knows.

Yeah, that is an option. I was kind of hoping this may be a common problem with these cars that someone has seen before. You are right though, it could be anything.
