Yeah stupify real informative....

Ok here goes. Demons are pretty straight forward to tune. How do you want to tune it for? Basic use, strip, etc?

Here is a trouble shooting page from Barry Grant which will help you with the basic set up.

http://www.barrygrant.com/demon/default.aspx?page=28

I think your jet size might be a tricky point, so get yourself a basic tuning kit. Be aware of the idle mixture screws on the side. Turn them out slightly if its lean, turn in if its too rich.

I hope it works out!

Perhaps! My advice was pretty generic.
However, I also offered a link to the Barry Grant site for tuning tips.

There is a tuning guide available online for purchase, from www.4secondsflat.com
I think there is an online video you can watch there at no charge.

The road demon is the stock replacement style unit, so I hope your combo is fairly mild. If so, you will have no problems.

PS, What is a tommaro?

Go through the whole thing and make sure it is completely clean. BG doesnt have the best of reputations.

Barry Grant does not have the best machineing quality. I've pulled slivers of metal out of fuel bowls and passageways. Passageways that aren't fully drilled. I was going to run a demon on my 360 until a passageway was not drilled out completely and caused it to go superlean and wasted to pushrods and a lifter. Now I have a holley 750 dp on it. IMO if it was me. I would return the demon and get a holley. We returned the demon to have BG go through it to check it out.... They mysteriously lost it.....

BG Carbs are like thermo buggs. Unless you got one of the very few good ones... Youre really screwed

I know less than little. The 850 DEMON on my 440 makes it run sweet.

How about some details on your combo?

Engine size, cam, headwork, exhaust, gears etc.

it may prove useful for carb recomendations.

As for BG quality control, I have seen some really poor ones also. However, I run a demon on my drag car, and love it, and also have a demon on my winni tow rig. I love it too.
I do agree that you need to go through the carb checking for debris.

that's good advice. If the carb is bolted on & you are REALLY close to firing, it might be hard to take it back off & open it up & check it out but from the horror stories I've read if I had one I would discipline myself to do just that. I wouldn't want to take the chance.

Do as Dave says. www.4secondsflat.com has a free video and the tuning guide avilable for 20 bucks . Covers demon carb tuning(can be applied to Hollies) and also Ignition tuning which is important as you may never get the carb right if you dont have the ignition right to start. Oh on the clean the carb thing . always a good Idea who evers parts your buying. As for the horror stories a couple years ago BG did have a metal fragment issue with their carbs .But has since put in a new washing facility and strickter quaility controls which have eliminated that issue.

Yea dont get me wrong. Demon carbs run like raped apes. It just depends on how good of a carb you get

Give the tuning guide a shot.

I think the road demon is probably the wrong pick for you, but not too far off. A speed demon would have been better pick, but you may get it to work if you follow the guide.

Any carb that you get set up rioght will work well. The key, is what carb will set up right for you.

Just another piece of information. The demon is underated about 70 cfm. So your 725 is really closer to a 800 cfm carb

Sounds like it should work fine...

But like I previously stated, I can't stress cleaning the ENTIRE carb before running it
