When the valve diameter is big, and has a long stem. Like the B1 M/C stuff its a almost a must.
But for most engines turning below 8K with a moderate valve size. You wasting money IMO

The point that point at which the spring can no longer keep a steel valve stable. If you think you're going to be close to that point, you could go that route. Or run smaller stemmed valves and lighter retainers and keepers.

I'm Using B-1 MCs on a 572, single 4, Probably will be under 8000. Maybe 7200 to 7600 peak don't know what peak will be till its dynoed. Is it worth it to do the Exhaust Valves on the B-1 MCs?

I was going to run just the intake tit and stainless
exhaust and I planned on high rpm 9000 range but
was less ci than yours

My B1 Mcs have the 2.4" titanium intake and 1.78" SS exhaust. Would the titanium exhausts be a good idea, probably. Are they necessary, not according to all the engine builders I've talked to.

When I have a few minutes later today I'll weigh one of each for you.

I have Titanium on both sides. Overkill, probably, especially for a S/ST car.

no doubt you'll find the missing valve after receiving the new one.

for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?
