Hi all
ok who or where can i get a mini starter for my 440 w/4sp and do i need the shim still ?
I was told a factory starter from a 97 with a 5.2 ( 318ci )
works..
is this wright ?
if so Roc auto has them for $89 no core ...

Yes it is RIGHT. ROCK Auto sells cheap. You may have better luck with Mancini regarding warranty claims though. Tanks? Yer welkum.

ok kool ... old used $10 starter is giving more that its $10 of pain..
How about the starter that 440Sorse has ?

I grab mine from pull a part for 18 and they come with a warranty for 2 bucks more...
I forgot to ad I am running these on my 512 at 11:5 to 1 comp with no issues at all...
2011 RAM3500
1967 Fastback Barracuda with some go fast goodies.

They used to be $80.00 shipped with their lifetime warranty. I haven't bought one in a couple years now. I still have one on the shelf that hits the headers on my 1968 Coronet 440 4-speed. I've never had any other fitments on 10+ different vehicles I have them on. Soon I'll swap the headers on the Coronet for a new set and should have no more issues.
