Does anyone know where Don's "pre-Cable" A/S '66 Belvedere I is?
I know of a red/red 4spd Bel I that sold new in KC,KS. It was raced and still has a AHRA sticker on the drivers vent window. Description and general area fits, just wondering if it may have been Don's car.
I don't remember much if anything about that car. Got any photos when he owned it. It would surprise me if a car that came through a Kansas City dealership would be Don's.

Isn't this Don's '66? Edmonds sponser instead of Cable but it has Housh Automotive on it just like on his '63 maxie ans '67 RO23. It also looks like that could be his name on the door. The car I know of was delivered to KC dealer, don't know if it sold there or possibly transfered to another dealer.

I think you are correct and this car did not run under the Cable name. As I mentioned earlier I thought his 66s went through Cable but I could be wrong.
Don also mentioned that he did do some local weekend racing with another car.
I just remember a photo of a white 66.
I will check and post what I find.

For some reason I don't remember much about that car. However with Housh Automotive on the fender it sure looks like one. I am pretty sure that is his name on the door as well.
Regardless of where the car was delivered I am sure it would have the sound deadner deleted. If you can tap of the roof and it sounds like a tin can that would mean something.

I am pretty sure that this is the Roaring Hemi now - re-painted white Mark J
Yes, that is Phil Roar's old car that used to be called "The Roar-N-Hemi". Phil will be with the "Warren & Augenstein" white 67 Hemi Belvedere, that he set up in 1995, at "The Spring Nostalgia Nationals", at National Trail Raceway on April 30th & May 1st,2011.

no, the car wasn't wrecked, lost the front fender and pushed the door handle in and quarter panel, but my friend and i spent about a month pushing out everything so nothing, other than the fender was lost. oh, both bumpers were bent byond repair but i replaced those also. jim drain, florida, helped with the locating of an nos fender & bumpers. i picked up alot of spare parts, just in case, but wound up not using them. most everything else was pushed back into place by myself. totally it took many months but she's back waiting for a new motor. dave #1355 ss/ea

Just had to give this thread a bump because there's some great old photo's posted in here, and they're bringing back alot of good memories, especially "Roar-N-Hemi".
Phil Roar, driver and owner of "The Roar-N-Hemi" will be at the "Chrysler Challenge" at MCIR on Saturday July 23,2011 looking at some seat time in the white Warren & Augenstein SS/DA 67 Hemi Belvedere. Phil set this car up like "The Roar-N-Hemi in 1995 and it performs identical to the original black car. Come see Phil and talk shop !
