I'm doing the Viper Caliper conversion on my Dart using Andyf's kit (very cool piece, btw!). I scored a set of used viper calipers and went to install the whole shebang and the kit calls for 73-76 A Body DRUM spindles! I don't have any and was wondering if the 73-76 A Body Drum spindle is the same as the B Body spindle? I suspect it uses the large upper ball joint and was wondering about the inner bearing race size - is that the only difference?

Anybody know? I have a lot of B Body drum brake spindles (from doing disc brake upgrades!!) or does anybody have a set of A Body 73-76 Drum spondles they wanna trade or ???? (smile).

The only difference between '73-'76 A drum knuckles and B/E drum knuckles is the diameter of the seal surface and inner bearing ID.

I make a spindle sleeve/seal kit that adapts the larger inner bearing to the smaller spindle OD.

Cass - Thanks for the info. I've used your inner bearing adapters before to use the later model rotors on the 70-71 E Body disk brake spindles. HUGE difference in price between the 70-71 rotor and the 73-74 rotor!

OK, So I can use one of my B Body drum brake spindles, your inner bearing adapter and the late model rotor. That works for me!!
