I am getting some disc brakes for the front of the 64..It has polished Centerlines on the front..I wonder if they will clear the discs? Also,I would like to see how to safety wire the brakes. On the rear of the car,I have 6 1/2" backspaced Crager Draglites and maybe want to get something different. How do I measure the backs? Thanks!! Ted

Lay a straight edge across the back surface of the wheel
then measure down to the surface that seats to the axle...
whats the width of the Centerlines and back space on
them... my 3.5" wide would clear pretty much any brake

Ted remember to add in the section width of the tire
along with the back spacing if your looking to get
more tire under it
EDIT
I forgot about the safety wire question... I dont have
any pic of it but you loop the wire through the bolt
with the wire loaded so the bolt cant back out... if
your looking at the head of the bolt hoop in from the
bottom, out the top and go to the right to the next bolt

Ted, I have to safty wire a lot, working on jet's and power turbines,,once you do it a few times it becomes second nature and actually kind of fun,,,but then again it don't take much to entertain me.

Ted, I have 3 1/2" Center lines (old, not polished)and Strange disc brakes and they clear fine. I used to have to run 1/8" spacers with these wheels when I had the old drum brakes. The drums had "fins" on them that hit the wheels.
