But now you guys have got me worried about this pinion angle thing... Have people actually had problems with the Keisler kits because ov this?
You can have driveline angle problems with any mod you make, when you alter the cars original configuration in any regard to the driveline, and do not, or don't know how to alter/adjust for correct geometery of the related driveline componets you'll have problems, one of the problems with Keisler's early TKO installs was that the transmission case was very tall, so this put the driveline angle out of parallel with the rear pinion, you had 2 choices, mod the floor to correct the transmission angle (which most people don't want to do), or re-angle the rear pinion with MP rear leaf perch shims,...unfortunately most people are unaware on how to perform this task, or lack the equipment to set driveline angle
The New Keisler T45RS case is a much more symmetrical case, easier to tuck into the factory hump than the TKO
Currently you have quite a few choices in the market, Keisler, Hurst/Classic 5spd, McLeod's 5spd, Passon's, plus a host of other smaller companies, depending on your wallet/budget

Here's what I got from Keisler
But for reference, all RS 5-Speed pricing is as follows: RS400 (400 torque, standard ratio) Complete PerfectFit Kit $2295 RS500 (500 torque, standard ratio) Complete PerfectFit Kit $2595 RS400 (600 torque, close ratio) Complete PerfectFit Kit $2995
Bare units start at only $1395. A PRO SHIFTER with internal stops, tunable internal spring bias, and other class leading feaures is STANDARD with EVERY transmission.
When compared to my quote from early 09, the RS would be somewhere $300 ish cheaper than the TKO 600 perfect fit 5 speed conversion (auto to 5 speed in a cuda). So you're still around $5000.
Sorry guys.

I wasn't interested in the TKO anyways. That one never interested me actually. I love the T45 in my girl's GT, and if this new RS5 is anything like that i'm sure i'll love that too. So maybe the driveline angle issue just became a non-issue?

Okay, i dont understand this...
RS kit - $2300-3000. (i'd likely use the 400)
TKO (by your accounting) 2600-3300 (which seems low, last Tremec 5-spd quote i got was over $4000)
Where does the $5000 come from...??? (my car is not an automatic)
$2300 is definitely doable. That would be a done-deal.

Hell, what i really want, and have always wanted is a T56.
What's stopping you? Used T56's don't go for that much money. You will have to scrape together all the conversion parts but it could be done.
The trans is easy to find and procure. Its all the other parts and differing (sometimes MUCH differing) opinions on how to go about it that stops me. If i had a nice big shop and fabrication tools and a bunch ov down time i'd do it. The kit ideas appeal right now because ov the relative ease and (likely much) less down time.
Another factor now that has very recently come up is that i'm not sure if i'm going to stay big block anymore with this car (unless i can find a cheap 426 hemi... haha). So until i am 100% sure which powertrain is going to win races for me i'm not gonna do any major cutting. I'll probably end up going modern (in the future), which will require a whole different approach anyways.

Strange enough, the search turned up nothing. Is no one talking about Keisler anymore or something...???
Could have something to do with this:
Passon 5 Speed
What he said.
Not a chance. not even in the same ballpark. that's a different game altogether.
The Keisler TKO kits continue to be a good seller for Mopar. But our product focus has shifted to the KEISLER Rallye Sport RS 5-Speed kits for Mopar. Kit prices are: RS400, $2295 RS500, $2595 RS600, $2995
The only kit released for sale at this time is the Mopar B-body, and we have sold a number of RS kits for that group already.
Check our website now, and you should find the offering listed for Mopar b-body.

Ressurecting an old post, since it's relevant to me now :-)
Anyone running the NEW Keisler RS500/600 now? It's been a few months since this was posted.
Just curious.
And yes, the numbers I quoted above were for the auto to manual trans conversion. Sorry I forgot to follow up my post back then.
