Would 4-door Valiant rear springs have more of an arch to them than ones from a 2-door? I put new springs on my car about three years ago and they never held the car up very well even thought they were supposed to be "+2" and I have longer shackles in the back. I just took them back off while offsetting the shackles, and noticed compared to the ones off my old 4-door parts car the old ones have a lot more arch to them laying side by side

IIRC they will have more arch to them and spring rate should be a little more for a 4-door car

on my 68dart I added an extra leaf to the pack from another spring pack

i used the 2nd leaf so I had 2 2nd leafs in the one spring pack

put mine where I wanted it on the ride hieght

on my trucks,I removed the overload leaf from the pack on the v-8 stepside which has 4 leafs now

on my /6 truck i removed the overload leaf and it has 3 leafs but sits higher than the the one with 4 leafs

go figure

/6 springs deff have more arch than the v-8 springs and are both short bed 1/2 ton trucks

IMHO,if it has more arch to them they will set the ride hieght up some and may be what your looking for

if its still too low, then just add one more leaf to them

the main leaf with ends cut just behind the spring eye will give the most lift or add the 2nd leaf to your spring pack

These nearly new springs have always been a piece of , I think they came from Espo...I'm going to set those 4-door springs under it and let it down and see how they look...When I was a kid my dad messed with Chevelles with coil springs and you could jack a sedan up by putting station wagon springs under it
