My plan is to have a 2" square receiver mounted behind the license plate so I can use a removable chute mount. Unfortunately, my project is not yet that far along, so I don't have pics of the mount system.

By using standard trailer hitch parts, I can remove the chute with a pin and install a trailer hitch ball for when I need to run the Drag Week event and pull a small support trailer.

Now if I can only finish the car while the Drag Week events still exist.

Cross bar and supports. It's a CE kit that I made detachable. There was some debate on this board weather or not a detachable mount is legal. I'm not fast enough for the chute yet, but if needed I can weld everything together. If it's any consolation; the bolt I'm using to attach the mount is larger than the one that is used to tether the chute.

Sorry no pics of the inside. Not finished yet, but yes it will tie into the rear framerails, under the floor pan.
