What shift rods for a V-Gate in a 71' B-body ? I have a new in the box V-Gate shifter # 411 8156. The rods are not being produced at this time. Any one have an install kit or know what else will work ? THANKS & Happy New Year

You could make the 1/2 and 3/4 shift rods out of straight tube and rod ends pretty easily, but the reverse rod has to be bent and would be a pain to get right.

I'd keep searching ebay and racingjunk for used kits. I had good luck at swap meets as well.

I used the stock ones on my 68, it worked fine.


8.30's @3400 lbs
