Just put one on my 440 and it doesn't have a port for the PVC. Is this normal for these and if so how do you go about getting it hooked back up? Thanks for any advise!

Can you find the number on the air horn to post?

Would be kind of odd for one to not have PVC hookup.

Should be to the rear of the carb. If you have power brakes that gets hooked directly into a manifold port.

There is a guy in MCG and maybe other mags that sells the fuel lines for 45 bucks or so. Well worth it or you can fab your own.

never seen a 3310 without a large vac port on the back. maybe some one changed the throttle plate.

It's PCV - Positive Crankcase Ventilation. Not PVC pipe. If your carb doesn't have a port for the PCV on the back you can always just put on a breather filter. Plenty of guys run around with just the breater filters on both valve covers and no pcv valve.

Do you have room for one of these - a 1" spacer with a 3/8" hose nipple in it.

Whenever you see all those extra numbers before and after the Holley list 3310, that should tell you the application for that particular carb is OEM for something. In this case it may be for a Ford, since there is no provision for a PCV. Often Fords have a spacer with a nipple for PCV. Could be for a Cobra Jet motor, (I'm not going to look it up). I don't like using carbs that old for a number of reasons. It is worth more to the guy who needs the numbers for his restoration. It will likely never run 100% right on your car. You are better off getting a more recent model of 3310.

Too many cars, too many parts, too little coin, too little space to work in, too little time left to make it all happen! Update: down to one ride, still too many parts, a little more jingle in the pocket, gaining space, and it's going to happen this year!

No I don't have enough room for any spacers as I am running the performer RPM and already real close to the hood. So it sounds as if this 3310 was a factory type carb? If that is the case are they pretty identical to the newer ones internally? Just wondering what I'm in for when I start playing with jets and such. If its going to be too big of a hassel performance wise I'll just shop around for another.

It's an OEM Chevy carb.

Don't recall if the one I had came with a pcv nipple.

Chevy Well thats unfortunate, so can these be tuned like a normal 750? Not sure what jets are in it but car acts like it needs more so am I to assume a factory type carb would be jetted on the lean side?

Don't be quik to knock the EH 3310, i ran one on a 440 & it ran great in stock form, they are rated at 780 cfm & come with downleg boosters & twin metering blocks, they are very tuneable, your best bet is finding a standard 3310 base & bolt it on, its that easy, they will have the PCV port.

Check this out, there a factory replacement for the 65 HP 396 & are rated one of the best 3310s out there.

Ford taped into the #8 port on some engines.. it works but,, every time you use the brakes it leans out that cylinder.. after time that leads to a burnt valve in the said cylinder... much better to tap the plenum...
