I may have asked this before, and if I did, I apologize for repeating myself, but I've been into the tranny and motor (now rebuilt) and am ready to install the power steering gear box on my 1970 Plymouth Satellite 318 c.i.. Did one of you say that I can replace that with a 1973/1974 box and it will fit? Summit has an A1 Cardone Reman for '73/'74 (#27-6542), but I can't find the part number for my '70 (#27-6546). Holler back if one of you knows. Thanks and again, sorry if I'm repeating myself. You know how it goes when you get all the parts/components swirling around in your head all at once

If its like my Duster, the earlier box will have a different size sector (output shaft where the pitman arm attaches) than the later box - for my application it required me changing the pitman arm, centerlink, and idler arm with it.

The larger sector shaft was introduced in 1973. Unless you want to change the pitman, idler and center link you'll need the older box.
