For you guys that run small blocks and IRON heads.

Do you think 10.65-1 compression with closed chambered iron heads and a 251/257 duration cam and .038 quench will run on pump premium without detonation?

What have you gotten away with build wise running pump premium?

If your at least 1000ft above sea level and don't see summer heat over 100° I think you'll be fine. You could always slow down the advance curve some if needed.

if the gas ur using is truly 93 octane should be fine,i dont trust the gas stations near me

Thanks guys. I will mix in some race gas when it goes on the dyno and to the track.

If on the dyno it says more timing try it with less
octane fuel... I have seen MOST of us are WAY to safe
on octane but always start with more than is needed

Tried that with Hyper pistons and under 10:1 and broke an upper ring land. Duration in the 248 range.

I'm at 11.2cr with a 360 and J's at 59cc, 205 cranking psi, i run 93 all the time but you got to do your homework!!
