Where are you guys getting it....????? Need (2) 12" lengths of 5/16 OD that I can tap to 1/4-24 I believe is fine thread right...???? It's for a progressive linkage setup the has (2) short lengths that ain't gonna work
Could get away with (1) 12" piece, but will make one non-progressive just in case I want to change it later
Rickster
1/4-28 is fine thread. You can use 5/16" OD tubing that has a 3/16" or smaller ID, drill out with a #3 or 7/32 bit, and tap your 1/4-28 thread.
Where can you get it locally Dave....?????? 1/4-28 that's it...have the drills & taps was just too lazy to go look....lol
Yes aluminum

You can get tube adapters from ANY chassis shop. They are welded in, come in left and right hand thread. We usually get ours from here http://secure.chassisshop.com/But A.R.T is closer to you.

This is for the tunnel ram linkage right... if so I use to run 1/4" solid alum drilled and tapped for 10/32.... that still leaves .032 wall on each side... if its adjusted right you are only overcoming the return spring so its plenty strong enough

I have a progressive setup and all the pieces are 5/16 fairly thick wall, but too short....need to either find the right tubing or just go with a non-progressive setup....have plenty of time
