The bottom back seat in my 72' Duster is notched in the corners. It don't look right. Doesn't 72' still have the squared bottom seat and 73' have the nothced corners for seat belts?

Thanks, Tony

Are you sure the bottom is locked into the floor seat retainers? the top seat looks angled, and should be more straight up and down, hard to tell with the smaller pics.

I made sure it's locked in and the back seat seems to be in correctly. It also appears the bottom seat cover don't match the back seat cover that's why I'm wondering if this seat is out of a later A-Body.

That seat bottom might be for the folding back seat and the back for the non folding seat.

This is an interesting topic, and I am also unsure of the answer. I am leaning toward NO on the notched corners being related to the folding seat design, since I have never pulled one from a car, yet I have a mix of both kinds of seat bottoms in my attic right now. I would hazard a guess that it has more to do with year models and the design of the seat belt retractors....

A person who swears that a back seat he has for sale is out of a 72 Duster and it is also notched. He sent me some numbers that were on the tag on the bottom seat.

They were:
Bottom: 3594784- B
LSI-M- 13685 2601

He stated that 2601 is a production date of late 71'

The numbers out of my bottom seat which I don't think is correct (not deep enough) are:
3699369-C
LS?? 13685 1634

74' seat?
