I have a 67 440 in my 72 Charger and want to tone it down a bit. The carb I have is a 6453S 74 360 HP TQ. I want to run a TQ but not sure if I should locate a big block one. 67 440, 915 heads. actual compression is unknown but I have 145-150 cylinder pressure all the way around. I am installing a Lunati Voodoo 60302 cam, performer intake, and will run stock HP manifolds with 2 1/2 exhaust. Strictly a street cruiser with all the power accessory's and AC going back on in time. Automatic trans with what appears to be a stock high converter and 3.55 rear gears.

I would not go with a TQ for a 360 as the main jets are likely to be way too lean for the 440...
Some people you just can't reach...

It's worth a shot, I'd try it in stock form before modifying anything.
I ran a stone stock 71 4972 340 TQ on my 426 CID stroked small block and had an average AF ratio of 12.9. Ran like a charm and made great horse power, never went lean at all.
I think I will give it a shot, the carb is mint and I can up the jets if needed.
