When I changed from 4.30's to 3.23 I put in Royal Purple 75-90 gear lube and sure grip fluid. The housing had a coupe of small dings on the gasket surface. I put in a new gasket and filed the dings do they didn't stick up. The housing leaks small drips on the floor. Does synthetic oil tend to leak more than conventional oil? I've never had a leak problem on 40 years with conventional oil.

It has leaked on my stuff when I didn't use Ultra Seal gasket sealer.
