Crizila, You must have been a high roller back then, I spotted that 'Ideal' Trailer!
Remembering the past is okay as long as it's not all one does.

I like remembering the past....
If you like drag racing, support your local track.

I don't really get this post? Im only 21 so I like hearing about the past. I like seeing the pictures of how things used to be. I like hearing the stories at the race track. The crazy street racing.. etc. Whats so wrong about seeing pictures and talking about the past? Its a learning experience for some of us. Its the grassroots of why drag racing is what it is today. They teach history throughout school... so why cant history be taught about a sport that we all love? call me crazy but i like knowing everything I can about this sport. Heck I race in Nostalgia Super Stock... A class developed so it would be "like" racing in the past... Call it living in the past or whatever you want but these cars may look the part but they all have parts from the present. So I hope you all continue to post pics and tell stories about the past and how it used to be. Like I said.. some of us were not around for it. Maybe I got this post all wrong, but this is how I took it. Casey

You basically got it right... its just that SOME want to live the good old days ALL the time... I dont mind it once in a while because I did enjoy those day... even in your class they want you to use some part or parts that are era correct and that doesnt allow for max power..... JMO

I'm just trying to create some "Good old days" NOW with some good OLD stuff. Lets face it, old tech is fun and basic. And NOW there's more aftermarket and new tech stuff to compliment it. But when it comes to having the same old hairstyle like back in the day............that's where I draw the line. Take the good from the old and enjoy it now with the new.

Do you really think so between the cold war and the Vietnam war I would beg to differ.

Why is it so many of the guys want to live in the past as in all the old pics and things of that nature... Sure I liked it back then went I was a kid but I never got into all of the old stuff now days ... life moves on... just seems like some people dont I'm not saying its a bad thing just wondering
Mr P Body you have to understand people get nostalgia for a whole host of reasons but for us car guys especially for me it brings back fond memories of friends and family we have left behind and are youthful days and seemingly simpler times it just seems today we live in a more stressfull time.

Sorry but yes I do think so and that's my opinion just like you have yours
Yes you are right you have that right but your perspective might be different if you feared getting drated or did get drafted to go to war.

So what are you saying here….are all threads that have to do with the past are now going to be banned on Moparts?
Nope... thats not at all what I am saying... believe me I enjoyed the "good old days" and maybe I enjoy the current times even better.... I'm sure I'll think about the good old days much more when I'm on my way out... but for me I spend more time in the current and what needs to happen tomorrow... you know I think I might have figured it out(a little) but if you have spare time and just sitting around doing nothing then thats when you start reminiscing, so maybe I just dont allow my self that much spare time (I am usually busy)
