Some of our racing team member are changing our radiator and water pump over to Braided AN-20 from the old stand by rubber hose and clamp.
We are doing this for Safety reasons, NHRA/IHRA and others don't mandate this "yet" for us that run faster than 8 seconds at 150++. We buy safety equipment all the time and it's gets very costly but, thats racing at this level.

What do you THINK?

Why? Has the "old standby" been failure prone. Is the AN20 less so?

It's a bit costly if you go with the kevlar lines, but they sure do look nice

Besides looking nice I don't see where they are beneficial. I didn't have a wrench big enough and was tightening mine best I could with a C-clamp and it still leaked a bit. Once I got a wrench big enough it was fine. But I had almost $300 tied up in an upper radiator hose and wrench to tighten two fittings...

I'd rather have a $15 hose $3 in hose clamps and a nut driver
