Numper on pass side pad:

8A179006
PP833 2219 0084

Is it possible to tell which car/year the trans came out?

8A179006

Partial VIN from a '68 car built at the Lynch Road plant, Lynch Road built B body Dodges and Plymouths in '68.

PP833 2219 0084

PP833= New Process 4-speed
2219= The build date August 25, 1967
0084= Sequence number, the 84th built that day.

Thank John,

Any chance this is A-body trans?

With partial VIN and SPD, are we able to tell which car this A833 came from?

It's an A body trans only if someone changed the tailshaft and mainshaft, only B bodies were built at Lynch rd.

The closest VIN# I have any info on is a Road Runner.

If it is (originally) a 23-spline it would've been 383 2bbl or 383 4bbl.

If it is (originally) an 18-spline it would've been 440 4bbl or HEMI 2x4bbl.

I could be from the whole gamut of b-bodies except Charger or Super Bee (or Road Runner hardtop).

it could be - Road Runner GTX Sport Satellite Belvedere OR Coronet Deluxe R/T 500 440

Thanks, I know it wasn't perfectly articulated/punctuated but since it was from a November '67 car NO Super Bees or Road Runner hardtops existed - YET.

& you'll have to add a "Satellite" to your punctuated list.
