A pair of the later Mitsubishi turbos would work but with all the fab work you might be a little better off with a single Buick turbo if you can find one.

Factory was planning to run one on their own manifold. Get the later manifold with the ribs cast into it and support the turbo with a brace. Should be good to go. The nice thing about a slant six is everything is on one side of the motor making it really easy to mount and connect everything.

Single turbo, OEM manifold 30,000 miles with no problem.I made an adapter from a U-bend that has the correct flanges for the turbo. I didn't weld to the manifold

The mitsus are way to small, 2 garrets would be good for 500 whp though and are far more durable.

What are the specs on the /6 and the turbo on your setup? Any #s on power or performance on the car?

Turbo off a 6.5 GM diesel,.450 lift cam with 114 LSA installed 2 advanced,3.55 gears,2,400 stall converter,904 with 360 999 clutch packs and wide ratio gearset.large valves, home ported head.offy intake, holley 390.3500lb A body full street car with 340 resto springs.14.65 with 12 lbs of boost no intercooler.I need to cure the bog off the line, because my 60ft. is 2.6-2.7,it also lays down in high gear that I think is due to the lack of the I/C.Like I said,it will be faster when I work out the tuning issues

the Dutra duals look like no room for a starter. Or too much heat for one.
Ask Doug if anyone has ever mounted them.

I get a kick out of these /6's in the tens.

It looks like, in the prior picture, that teh 2 turbos are tangential housings but mounted so they are hanging down. Perhaps flipping them over and rotating the CHRA and compressor would get the turbo high enough to get away from the starter? Might move it up 2-3"? That will surely cause other hurdles, though (it always does).
