Hey everyone,

Wilwood seems to be the most readily available at a decent price to do a disk brake conversion. anyone have these on their car? i really have not heard anything about them but see them everywhere

thanks!

I have ran many sets of these on different cars/trucks over the years.. they work great, are easy to install and are complete with all NEW parts. There will be some here that will tell you to get used junk yard parts. Yes those will be cheaper to start with but not in the long run. I am a fan of do it once and be done with it...

Be sure you get the calipers with seals for street use.

Ditto. I ran the Dynalites for a number of years, but they had no dust boots. never had problems, but also drove the car only 1000 miles/year, and never int he rain. Just got nervous about possible problems, so switched 'em out...

They are good - like others said, avoid the Dynalites for long term durability on the street.

If you want a good deal, contact Frank at Prodigy...
Prodigy Customs

He hooked me up with four wheel 14" disks, 6 piston front and 4 piston rears with integrated parking brake.

I have the alterkation - which is mustang II spindles and that really opens up options on lower cost brakes.

I also had him spec out my Moser 60 with Ford big ends on it for the same reason.

I could get larger brakes, more varieties and lower cost.

I will go on the record to say my brakes are total over kill and not needed. My primary reason for for asthetic purposes when using my Forgeline 18" wheels...

Hey how do I know which kit has the sealed calipers? I dont see that mentioned anywhere on summit or just suspension...is that an upgrade option u can add somewhere or buy separate?

This car will be more of a summertime weekend warrior that I hope to take to the strip someday but by no means is it going to be a daily driver

I always thought none of the Wilwood calipers were sealed. I never drive in any conditions that I thought a sealed caliper was an issue, many others here I believe disagree, and I don't mean to insult nor imply anything, but they usually don't sell Wilwood calipers. Draw your own conclusions.

PS I don't any brakes, I have no dog in this fight
