I have heard that from others as well. He is a very busy man, however he should return emails in a timely fashion.

Yeah, he should reply to everyone who keeps asking him how much it costs too. That way, he won't ever have to work on another trans. as long as he lives.

1. In a perfect world 2. If He had an office staff of 10+ 3. If hand holding is more important then a great well built transmission 4. There are still only 24 hrs in a day 5. I have plenty of faith he is doing his best, and doing it better then most others
So what are you saying....I am looking for hand holding?? I have and continue to be very patient....been on the list 3 years and spoke to him once and e-mailed him once......

Mcleod will have one out mid 2015. They have a GM version now. I got a passion quote,it was much higher than Hurst,Tremec ,Silver and Mcleod. Sorry Facts are facts. Price was over 3k more. Needs to be more competitive in this market,IMO. Just passing info.
Jamie has sold units in MOPAR customer cars NOW, McCloud has nothing but promises, so far they are just talk. Not to mention the unit they had on display at SEMA a couple years ago wouldn't fit without hacking the floors so it's not a player in this hunt IMO.
As far as price goes, you are saying McCloud (or anyone else) can provide a 5 speed manual trans for $3,000.00 LESS than a Passon? That's a cost of roughly $1,500.00? Yea, RIGHT! If that happens you can count on it being a huge POS

I will believe McLeod has released it when I see it in a car. McLeod said the exact same thing in late 2010 which is what forced Jamie's hand in starting this thread in December 2010. Jamie ran into a LOT of unforeseen issues along the way, but his product has at least been in "limited" release now and hopefully, for his sake and those on the waiting list, he is ramping into volume production soon. The "comparable" T-56 Magnum as a bare transmission is $3k. Add in the cost of the other parts you need for a swap and the price Jamie has is competitive. Please do not compare the TKO-500 as something that is similar, it is not. The T56 magnum and Jamie's "855" are the only non-race transmissions available that my engine would not outright shred. Cheaper transmissions are just that, cheaper for a reason.
-Michael
PS. Just FYI... I do not have a dog in this hunt or a product to sell you. I am just a Mechanical Engineer who has designed a few things and know first hand the kind of pain Jamie has had to endure on his road to manufacturing this product. Earlier this year my name came up on the list and Jamie called me, I had been on the list since December 2010. Unfortunately it was about 6 months too late and I had already installed a T56 Magnum in my car. Kind of a bummer because I think it would have been cheaper to do the Passon and less painful.

I have stayed away from saying very much on this thread, I have a 67 GTX with a 572 hemi, 735+ HP, 718 + Torque (reason for the + is that was with a 950 holly, now is a fast 2.0 EFI flows 1050) car weighs 4100 bare, lots of extras, Dana 60 w/4:30 gears, MT 12.00X30 rears, cal tracs, and of course a 855, 3400 miles on the car since the 855 went in, went thru some issues but it looks to me like you can not break it and it absolutely bolts right in, I also used a 3 1/2 " drive shaft with billet front and rear yokes. Only problem I have now is the rear wheels studs have a tendency to bend a little and they are ARP. Bottom line is this is a excellent transmission, I went thru a Keisler A41 automatic stage 3, it is no fun R&R trans to repair and have no confidence in its reliability. Bruce
