I am sorry to hear that your buddy is having trouble. I am confused though... I could have sworn I saw those complete transmission packages advertised for like $3800.00? I'm wondering why there is a HUGE difference!
Thanks,
Jamie

I'd make the assumption it was $3800 for the trans and roughly $3700 for the installation, maintenance, and repairs.

See the attached pictures. In light of the "fitment trouble" a few people have had with the newest offering from another company (which have been chronicled on this board) pay close attention to the amount of room in the crossmember area on our unit. Pictures tell the best story. This is a stock '67 GTX. I can remember the other unit needing the entire top of the tailhousing having to be milled off OR cutting the crossmember away to fit it. To me, that is not a "Bolt in" This is. Note STOCK crossmember, STOCK transmission mount.

What a concept, an aftermarket product designed to fit Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth and not hastily adapted from some other application.

Hello Jamie,

I am seriously considering your tranny and am very happy to hear that you are getting underway. Your comment about "I probably would have gotten a bit miffed too. You are basically calling the person a liar." is not very accurate though. When I was talking with him I never said that he was not telling the truth or was incorrect in any way. This need to be perfectly clear. I think it is totally appropiate for a person to ask if someone is sure about something.

Twostick, As for the the idea that it is not my business to know when a manufacture of a product, I have been considering for years, is up and running in production is totally foolish.

Hats off to you Jamie. I have never accomplished what you have and only somewhat know how hard of a process it is to design and manufacture such a complex and much needed part. Thank you!

Damon

Well the long version is this. I installed it for free, so no cost there. I did have to shed a tear or two as I cut up the hole in the tunnel for this tranny. I had just welded in a new hump several months before. He has had this car since it was six months old and it was an original stick. He can shift pretty good for an old guy.LOL. The car would not shift at high rpm. He has a 528 hemi from Aruzza. He pulled it out and sent it to someone in Fl(I think) to make it shift better. They specialize in that particular tranny. Not sure what they did but it did cost 1500 or so.He got it back and it did shift better but not that great. I can shift with the best of them and I can't stand it. It feels like driving my Diesel truck. Anyway, tooling down the road one day and showing his son-in-law what a hemi can do to the back tires and he shifting hard into 3rd and the thing came apart on him. He had it taken out and sent back to Fl and the shop said that he had received the wrong front drive shaft yoke in the kit and it did not slip on the output shaft good enough and when he hammered it it acted like a solid shaft and it tried to drive all the gears out the front of the case. It tore up gears and the case. I did not R and R the thing the other two times, so he paid for that. He probably has more money than I stated in the turd. He has not shifted hard since.

My experience driving the Brand X trans was the same, notchy feel and impossible to speed shift like you can with an 833. I hated it! I'm in line for a Passon, patiently waiting because I KNOW it will be worth the wait!

Hats off to Passion for making sure the product is right before releasing. So unusual for a company to do that now a days.

RealWing,

I asked one of Passion's guys if a moparts member actually had one in their car yet and he said yes. So I asked him if he was absolutely sure someone did and he guaranteed me that people did. He even got a bit miffed that I questioned him. Seems the truth is elusive or 1-3 might have their tranny in already. NOT! I hate BS.

I dislike posts like yours... and your attitude...do you think for one minute that Jamie Passon would produce anything but a 110% product??? Well????

I would not sell you a transmission...

Sorry Jamie, I can't sit here and put up with this.

BTW Great work!!!

Just to clarify, someone said to make sure that someone that wants one is on the list. I'm going to guess that once the list is satisfied, production won't stop and someone who started saving, Idk, like today, for one can purchase one later?

That would make sense.....why produce something only for the people on the list today? Once this unit is out in the real world and working I am sure there will be many more people wanting to buy one.

Hey Tom,

"do you think for one minute that Jamie Passon would produce anything but a 110% product??? Well???? "

NO! I never said anything like that. Please do not make up stuff. Just don't go there Tom. I think Jamie is making a stellar trans. That is why I am so seriously considering his product.

Why in the world would I be talking to them and trying to find all the information I can if I didn't trust his trans. Just doesn't make any sense.

Damon

I'm not on the list, but I wish I was. How does one "GET" on the list again? Front a thousand bucks?

I'm gonna start saving today as well. Little by little. I do want one, and eventually will buy one if they are available.

Just call Jamie and say you want to be on the list...no money down! You will be contacted when a deposit is required.

With all due respect to everyone. We are only asking for people that are SERIOUS to be added to the list. We are basing our production configurations on the orders we have on this list. We are not requiring money down at this time. Therefore, we need it to be as accurate as possible. So, I'm certainly not turning people away, but you guys gotta understand that we can't have a bunch of people that are hoping to "someday" get one. This is not a slap to anyone or anything like that. We just have to be as lean as possible here to make this a success.
Thaks
Jamie

Jamie,

Is this going to be a limited production run?

I would seriously consider buying one but it won't be for another couple years so I'm not going to get on the list to order one until I'm ready.
