Well, I want to thank everyone for the kind words. I also want to thank Daty for kicking me while I am down too. Great to know that "they" are alive and well. Daty, no offense to anyone, but I do not follow the practice of others. I don't believe that the end user should test our stuff for us. I am coming to the realization that I am 100% sure that someone is not going to be happy with the trans. Unfortunately, the common walmart mindset nowadays is just ridiculous. I want it yesterday, I don't want to pay anything for it, I want it to hold 1000 HP, I don't want to cut anything and I want it to sound like a Mercedes transmission. (not even hear it turning)
Believe me, I am not in this for my health. EVERY day that goes by, it rules my every thought. We are doing our best here. I am not holding a gun to anyone's head forcing you to buy it. There are plenty of other "Bolt In" options out there... Does anyone in their right mind think I want to have all this time and money out there like this not to produce a unit? SERIOUSLY!????
Now an update, We received our revised design 5th reverse interlock back. It is FINALLY within spec, so we are planning to begin building as soon as we receive them. ONCE AGAIN!!!!!! I AM NOT A FORTUNE TELLER!!!! I was told a month. So, when they are in my hand, We will start building. Sorry for the tangent, but enough is enough already! I understand everyone's frustration, I am quite sure, yours pales in comparison to mine. Also, the list is up to 269 people now. Jamie
keep fighting the good fight...working in the automotive and heavy equipment OEM world since graduating from college almost 17 years ago, I know the tremendous undertaking developing and manufacturing something as complex as a transmission, especially with the expectation of a durable, quality product. it amazes me that you even decided to take the challenge....
out of curiousity to you or anyone else reading, what ever happened to the McCleod tranny that kinda forced your hand on announcing this project? after it was shown at PRI what 2 or 3 years ago, I haven't heard ANYTHING about it?

O.K., Some pricing information. After MUCH back and forth, figuring, refiguring and trying to trim where we could without sacrificing quality, we are looking at $4295.00 for a retail price on the unit.
Now, I want to explain a little about this. This cost will cover the transmission, shifter, shifter linkage, mount plate and speedometer cable extension. This is all that is needed. Any other parts if you are switching an auto car, we can provide, but they are not needed, so therefore we didn't include them.
Please keep in mind that this unit is Made in USA. It was designed here, and is being built here by mopar people that are deicated to bringing you the highest quality parts possible. It is without doubt a premium driveline piece. All gears and shafts are made from aircraft quality 9310 alloy steel. Unfortunately, this costs money. Believe me, We are being as fair as we can on this, considering this will bolt in as it is supposed to and you are not going to have to cut your car up.
I await any further questions. Thanks, Jamie

I'm interested. I'm wondering what the price range will be (I've not read this entire thread).
Just answering AlexP question with Jamie's last known quote,...in the thread.

Kinda strange how you NEVER hear anything more about the Mcleod transmission even on the LS1 and Mustang sites I have always used Mcleod products without any issue so why would they not produce this unit for the masses? It will not be a bolt-in for sure without having to buy lots of extra parts to make it work in a Mopar. They were having it made overseas with sub-standard parts how hard could it be to throw a piece of junk on the market Gus

Updated pricing is $4495.00. Those that ordered the unit at $4295, we will stick to the quoted price. I have a line drawn on the list that separates the $4295 and $4495. The sad reality is that we are not leaving much meat on the bone with the $4295.00 cost. I didn't want to do this, but that is the reality we are facing. We had to raise the price slightly. Jamie
Is that if you were put on the list at the lower price or actually left money as a deposit.....You haven't called me to order, but I am on the list since it was under 100 names.

5 speeds are so 2010 can we get a 7 speed that fits perfect for under 2000 G's please ??? I mean come on already.
The new 7-speed Tremec for the new corvette is only rated for 450 ft/lbs, and it does not look like it will fit any Mopar trans tunnel. The spicer is just a bit too big
