pretty sure it fits, but I think some folks have to run a drop base on the air filter/cleaner.
**Photobucket sucks**

I have 70 Challenger, R/T hood (bulge type), Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake with Edelbrock carb and stock dual snorkel air cleaner. About 3/4" to 1" of clearance, air cleaner to hood. It's close but works fine. Running this way for over two years now and NO problems at all.
Hope this helps, but I would measure closely before slamming the hood regardless. I used a wad of clay in several places on top of the air cleaner and closed hood slowly and progressively until sure of clearance.

My buddy had to run a kick down cable on his due to intake height.
Thanks Guys good point, I plan to use a stock kick down linkage, and just realized this might be a problem.
I running the stock kick-down linkage on mine however it is the 3-way adjustable version

I am running an RPM Performer on a 440 with a Proform carb in a 71 Chally with the Rallye hood. The air cleaner has about a 1.5" drop base on it. I have only enough room for a hex nut to hold down the air filter top or I touch the bottom of the hood and I do not have any insulation under there. (I know, it's not a Cuda)

Assuming you're talking an RB motor--no it won't, at least not with the stock air cleaner. I too run a 440/eddyRPM/Holley carb and I have to use a pretty deep drop base to clear a 3" filter.
Stock air cleaner will sit too high.

Sorry, should have been a little clearer with my response. Mine's a "B" engine and has about 1" clearance. Makes sense that the "RB's" then would not have enough clearance.
