1970 Duster 340. I bought the decoder manual but the entire N code (engine acc) section is missing.
In my broadcast's "GOV/TACK" box there is a 5.
I'm perplexed 'cause the VIN tag has an N85 but the car did not have a tach when I got it. Instead it had a blank face in it's place that really looked like it was always there. No extra wire or anything either. Maybe that 5-code will shed some light? THANKS
Car is finally in the body shop after 5 years of doing all the S**t work !!!!

N85 is the code for the Tach so if your broadcast sheet has a % in the N8 box and the tag you call a VIN tag, it's actually refered to as the FENDER TAG , the VIN tag is on your dash ... has N*% then the car was supposed to have a tach . Now assuming that your fendertag and broadcast sheet are factory originals then either someone removed it , swapped in another gauge cluster or the factory forgot to install it .
