hemibee69 member Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 119 SE VA	The wire goes to the solenoid on the distributer. "70 and some "71 big blocks had a solenoid inside the vacuum advance can. When the carb went to idle it grounded the solenoid, this retarded the timing for improved emissions. I do not have a pic of the vac advance can but it is very noticable. By the way, you do not have the bowl vent going to the manifold vacuum port do you?
