I have stock low-back bucket seats in my '68 Charger. We're planning some long tours (power tour, rte. 66, dixie highway) and might like to swap in some more modern units. Who's got what, and likes it? My wife likes to recline for naps. We're not going road racing, so they don't need or necessarily want serious wrap-arounds.
Why do I torture myself so?

Best seats I ever owned were in my '89 Mustang 5.0, the factory Recaros. Adjustable thigh support, nice side bolsters, cloth, headrest didn't push my head forward, just right firmness. I could sit in them for hours, which after all is the point. Never had a problem with the stock Mopar seats though, but of course they don't recline. Another consideration would be BMW, I drove dozens of them back in the '90s and they had nice seats, but I prefer cloth over leather or vinyl.

I sat in the pro Car seats and they are nice, however, I ultimately decided on the Corbeau GTSII seats for my 70 GTX. There was some considerable amount of adjustment and fab work to get them mounted using the brackets I ordered with the seats...they are WAY too tall. I did not have any stock seat mount brackets so I cannot comment on how the seats may or may not have fit to them.

At our local pull=a=part you can buy any seat in the yard for 25 bucks. I just go around till I find ones that are nice, comfortable and are all there. Replaced a lot of seats over the years. Take a set of star sockets a lot of seats are bolted down with them now.
I've tried that too. Unfortunately all the seats I want are always ripped up.
