Is this some big secret?
No..well, not a secret as much as an "unknown". I have heard of guys doing what you are talking about but not anyone on this board doing it...yet. I think a couple guys have looked into doing it so maybe they will chime in with more info than I'm able to give you. Good luck!

Spoke with Todd Gross when he was selling his TS engine. I think he fell behind schedule due to waiting for parts. Might be a big job putting sleeves into a steel block. If i'm right the 99 blocks are steel..... I don't think they would have sleeves in them. Would be a lot of work to sleeve them with a deck spacer. Although.... Not impossible ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif)

I have a set of the revised hemi 06 heads and would love to build an engine with them. I must say they are some very nice castings. My idea on this is to use a cast iron Dart BBC race series block. It can be had in 4.900 bore spacing and also with out head bolt holes and lifter bores and different deck heights. I brought this up once before on here awhile back and never got any feedback on it. Dart Race Series Block
My Mopars:
1970 Plymouth Barracuda 318, auto on the column: soon to be a hemi with a 4 speed.
1960's or 70's Massey Ferguson 300 combine with a slant six. (a future big block swap?)
Big red would then be a lean mean corn picking machine.
