Just curious what roller rockers you guys would use for a mostly street driven small block. The springs I'm using with my build are around 400lbs. Open. Harlands are aluminum and the comps I'm looking at are steel. Do the Harlands hold up to street miles or are they more of a race only piece?

Any one have any real world experience with their own engines? Thanks!

Just had a comp seize on to the shaft, bent the push rod, popped the lifter, lost oil pressure, probly more damage.

That being said, I previously ran a set of comp for about 30000 miles and about 1000 passes w/no problem. Thought it was time to replace them. Sometimes should leave well enough alone!

Will probably have the comps bushed and use them again

IMO 400# open is on the bubble for comps. Comp says they're good to 500#, but I kind of doubt it.

I use comps in my motor, but I'm only running 350# open.

I have bronze bushed Comps. +500 open. Lots of street miles. I like the way they oil everything. I would do it again. However, including bushing, they were more expensive than the HS.

I thought Comp started bushing them?

Mine are older, unbushed Comps. OVER 500 lbs. open pressure.
No galling, siezed rockers, etc. My only other complaint is their
lack of optional ratios.

Mine aren't bushed, that's for sure...
