I've had this around for years just out of curiosity, anyone want to make a stab at it? It came from a late '70's B-body with 360. The upper holes attach to the exhaust bolt/stud around the port for cylinder 2, the lower hole attaches to the block at the motor mount. I've never been able to come up with a purpose for this part. It weighs over 3lbs and is made of several pieces of stamped steel mig welded together.

Band aid for crash protection right front.. That shield bolted to the right front part of the cylinder head/exhaust manifold. That's a nice paperweight.
